Hello Everyone, I am hoping I can gain knowledge on whom the artist of this painting is? As well as Possibly Identifying the Red Yang Seal.

Total Height is about 5 foot.

The entire surface is silk. There is Brown silk added as a layer to create the border around the painting and a more luxurious looking silk material with a faint pattern which surrounds the border.

Pictures don't do it justice. Very rich colors and fine detail.

I purchased this from an Estate whom had many expensive paintings.

Im hoping this is one as well :)

The artist's name is Xie Juan 谢雋, painted within the past few decades, decorative value only

thank you for your answer. I cannot seem to find any info on the artist you speak of "Xie Juan" Do you know how I can Get more info ?

Also when you Say Decorative Value ... Does that mean it is not worth much? I thought that it being an original painting and large in good detail and brush strokes of the women that it would have a decent value. Am I wrong to think that?

I suspect this is a minor artist who will be hard to track down. In my view, the picture was made as a decoration, not as "fine art"; I don't think there will much interest among collectors of Chinese art.

Xie Juan (or possibly Jun) was a Qing dynasty artist.
