Japanese rather than Chinese I would think, the seal perhaps reading 霞中菴?

Ahh, well that narrows it down a bit further :).

Thanks.

Do you happen to know what it reads?

It could still be Chinese.

The seal reads 霞中菴(庵)the last character is 主.

"The master of the hut in the glow of sunset." Or words to that effect.

Thanks for the 主, mikeoz, is there an etymology that links the character to the large dot in the seal?
