Subject:Another small jade figure of a man
Posted By: Michael O Mon, Jul 06, 2015 IP: 119.74.226.202 I find this carving rather interesting. It has a tubular form ending with a high "hat". Arms and legs are not visible but the face has a tranquil look. It is about 3 inches tall and I am quite sure it is old jade.

Posted By: Super Wed, Jul 08, 2015 Sorry, Micheal, IMHO, I do not believe this is old jade and all those white weathering was artificial to make it appears to be old. It can be made of either serpentine or nephrite, I cannot really tell from your pictures but if I have to guess it may be made of nephrite. A scratch test will tell.
