It stands 25.5 inches. It seems to be gilded, heavy and has intricate designs. Any idea is gratefully appreciated.
Regards,
George

This is my second posting of thank you to S.S. Your information has been helpful. Do you think is was created for the tourist trade?

George

Thailand has been a significant international source of decorative cast metal since the late 20th century. I've seen objects of this type on display at a number of retail outlets in the USA over the years and on sale in high-end malls like River City in Bangkok, when I worked in Thailand years ago. An item like your Ramayana dancer would not be an inexpensive purchase, likely costing at least four figures in US dollars, or a bit much for the average tourist. This type of statue might be found near the entrance of fine Thai restaurants, among other locations with the space or reason to accommodate them.

Best regards,

Bill H.
