Hi Everybody!
I just found this page and maybe you could help me out. I'm new in collecting asian art and working in a museum the past 5 years kinda infected me...
So I already have a basis of knowledge which led me to buy this bronze guanyin.
Eventhough the bronze looks quite original Ming I am not sure about it, since forging has always been a part of art ;-)
So i would really like to know what you are thinking...

I posted this 7 1/2 inch bronze exact figure quite a while ago and got no replies. I included the back marks but mine has old and faded felt on the base which I did not remove and so did not see the Xuande mark. I judge mine based on patina to be vintage or perhaps a little older. I'll be watching your post with interest. Good luck, Jim
