Subject:Himalayan Ritual Object
Posted By: Misty Fri, Jul 24, 2015 IP: 67.168.168.128

This was purchased in Kumjung Village, Nepal in 1977.

In my understanding, this is an offering vase for the ritual of feeding hungry ghosts. The only other examples I've found that look similar to me are 18th/19th Century. Some examples are below. I wish I knew enough to tell how old this one is or more about it.. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help, Misty
