Subject:Japanese Bronze Pot Identification

Found this recently at a garage sale and really liked it and since it was $10.00 I brought it hone. Not sure what it's purpose was (maybe to provide heat). Not sure of who made it or when it was made. It has writing on the side and is signed on the bottom. On the inside it appears to be insulated with something about half way up the pot.
