Posted By: Bill H Sun, Aug 02, 2015 There are a number of variants among Chinese butterfly & bird plates. Most of these porcelains made for export in the 19th century were unmarked until after 1890, when among other affected countries, the U.S. McKinley Tariff Act required China to add markings of "CHINA", and later "MADE IN CHINA" to such dishes. Perhaps you could find an online image of the particular style you're interested in to post with your query. |
