Subject:Cloisonne - Help in dating

Posted By: rat Wed, Aug 05, 2015 the use of 羊 in such inscriptions is not in its standard meaning of goat/sheep but as a simplification of the character 祥, for 吉祥, good wishes/good luck. It does not refer to a date. I imagine this is only a few decades old, but beadiste may be able to tell as this is his field. |
