Subject:Oxblood Vase Worth Saving or Junk?

I am wondering whether this vase is old enough to warrant spending a few hundred dollars for repair. It is about 14" high. There is a chip to the rim (shown) that was not very well repaired as well as an associated crack. Around the top is some kind of calcification which will need to be professionally cleaned I think. It is marked with four characters in a red circle. I don't know what the number 26 is but I think it is a grease pen. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks.
