Subject:Please HELP. Age of Kwan Yin

Carved softwood Guanyin with gesso and traces of colored pigments. There appears to be a gauze-like or fibrous material under the gesso layer, which was painted over and over many times during the course its life.
Does anyone have any idea of the age of this sculpture?
Does anyone have any idea of its value?

I forget to mention that measures is 36 inches tall.
