Subject:Chinese Plate Find: 18th century?

Dear Forum Members,

Can anyone help me assign a date to this Chinese plate? It measures 10 inches in diameter. Thank you!

This looks like it may be an early 20th century European plate with chinoiserie pattern, perhaps from Limoges, judging by the creamy look of the glaze.

Best regards,

Bill H.

It could be European soft paste rather than Chinese hard paste porcelain. This is suggested by the slight yellowish glaze tone and the enamels, which appear to be even with or "sunken into" the glaze rather than raised above it. The quality of the painting does not seem to reach 18th century standards.

I think my photos must not be very accurate... the glaze is not yellowish, and the design enamels actually are raised up...In the center of the plate, the glazes have been worn down and partially erased by hundreds of tiny scratches resulting in a kind of blurry look. I'm posting some new photos which I hope are better quality. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
