Subject:Need help with very involved image Part 1
Posted By: lori Tue, Nov 10, 2015 IP: 173.70.84.38 I am hoping someone can help me with this very involved scene. I believe it is a woodblock and it looks as though it is depicting either a tsunami or a “wave” of warriors attacking their opponents. |

Posted By: Guy Wed, Nov 11, 2015 This is a genuine early 19th century Japanese woodblock print depicting a historical battle scene from earlier times. The title is printed in the cartouche at the right which is damaged and therefore difficult to read. |

Posted By: rat Thu, Nov 12, 2015 no, rare is not the same as valuable, though there is often some value attached to rarity. in this case Guy has already mentioned damage that will lower the price anyone will pay for this print, and the quality of the impression, amount of fading, etc will also affect its value. |
