Hi!

I need some help to identify these marks!
Could it be hongxian nian zhi?

You're correct. The mark reads "Hongxian Nian Zhi- Made during the Hongxian Reign" (1915-16). Some of the best porcelain of the Republic Period was made during the brief Hongxian era, when Provisional President Yuan Shikai became China's first and only constitutional emperor. However, this mug is below average in its decorative and porcelain quality for that time. I'd think it probably dates no earlier than the turbulent 1930s-40s, and may have been made for restaurant use.
