Subject:Chinese Dragon Bowl
Posted By: RCorb Wed, Nov 18, 2015 IP: 98.225.151.55

Curious if anyone can tell me some information about this bowl. It is blue and white with dragons encircling the interior. The exterior has a dragon or serpent design in clouds. The bottom is unmarked. Any ideas of age, maker and value?
It is 10" diameter and about 3" high. There are some minor chips and age stains on the exterior.
Thanks for any help

Your Japanese vice Chinese dragon bowl dates to circa the late 19th-early 20th century and was decorated by the transfer method called 'surie-inbande'. Please see the link for further info in an earlier forum thread.

Best regards,
