Subject:another japanese vase question
Posted By: RCorb Wed, Nov 18, 2015 IP: 98.225.151.55

Here is another vase I am interested in turning into a lamp but if the vase has any value (over $50 - $75) I would not want to ruin it with a hole in the base or potentially damage it. The vase is 10" high and is unmarked on the bottom.
Also, what is this style called? Satsuma? moriage? Something else? I am confused about the terms
Thanks for the help and info.

Japanese pottery called Kyoto Satsuma early 20 th,made for export with poor decoration so
in my opinion perfectly suitable for the base of the lamp, go ahed ;-)
