This has been in my family for a long time, and given to me over 30 years ago. I was told it was valuable, especially cause it was marking on bottom were with red ink. Could anyone let me know what i have here and a possible value?. please email me at [email protected] Thank You

Hi,

The mark says: Shibata Zo (made by Shibata) 柴田造. Satsuma-like piece, date: approx. 1920-1940.
Japanese potters handwriting is like the handwriting of docters, often unreadable.
Value: I don't dare to give it an exact value, but since Shibata is not a well-known artist and the quality is not that great, the value will certainly no hundreds of dollars (sorry).
Martin.
