Hello

Can anyone identify the artists seal within this brush pot? The base has a Jiangxi character mark

Regards in advance

Calum

That on the right is an artemisia leaf, which I think was common on Kangxi items. That on the left would ordinarily contain some information about the artist if it followed an inscription on a painting, but is too small to see in your photo and in any case on small brushpots like this often contains only a generic 印, meaning "seal", or just random lines to represent a seal legend. The brushpot is dated winter, wuzi year, but neither the date of 1888 nor 1948 seem particularly right to me, maybe someone else can chime in to support one or the other, or a third view.

Thank-you for the message I have attached a closer image of the second seal.

Kind Regards
