Subject:Need help on brass bowl identification

My mom gave me this bowl over the weekend, and I am curious to know more about both the hallmark and the etchings.

I'd speculate from the incomplete views that your Chinese bowl was made circa the late first quarter of the 20th century of subsequently. It is roughly decorated (1st photo seems to show a Buddhistic lion), with a poorly cast six-character apocryphal base mark of "Made during the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty" (Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi".

Best regards,

Bill H.
