I would assume that the two paintings are cut from a single handscroll but for the fact that the direction of movement seems different in both. This one seems like it might portray Ge Hong moving his household (with the movement toward the left). The other one clearly shows a parting but I don't know of any such stories showing and adult and child as seems to be the case there (movement toward the right). There is nothing wrong with the seal, though I can't read the first character. Its form is uncommon but totally ok. I think I have seen seals in this shape carved in both stone and materials such as bamboo or horn. Seems like a 19th century work to me.
