Thank you to the one who could translate me this poem in this Kogo shell. It would be of Senge Takazumi (1815-1878)

Suggest you take this item to museum or university or auction house having a person who might be willing to translate for you.

This website is not a free translation service, although sometimes generous persons are willing to try to help with transcriptions when discussing works of art.

Unpleasant reaction. This forum is a place to share and help, we are voluntarily provides information about art. The Japanese calligraphy in this kogo is often misread and misunderstood by the Japanese. I would be happy to know that poem means. I am not forcing anyone here.

Hi Maxime,
To me these are artworks. Although I cannot help with the translation !
They are from the shell matching game Kai-awase.
These shells are painted with haiku.
This game goes back to the Heian period. Originally the sets would have 360 pairs of painted/laquered clam shells.
Hope someone can help with the translation.
