Posted By: Bill H Tue, May 03, 2016 The dish is Chinese, third quarter of the 20th century or later, having an apocryphal Qianlong reign mark stamped on the base and what looks like transfer decoration with color washes in the cavetto. The faux ormolu mounting has the artificially aged appearance of some I've seen before on 20th century Chinese decorative ceramics that were painted and mounted in Hong Kong. Google the 'United Wilson Company' for some of the better examples of this work. |
