Hi Brett,

The mark is "Nikko" 日光 meaning sunlight or sunshine.
The Nikko brand was Yokohama Satsuma ware, made in the period 1890-1920 for foreign visitors or the export market. Satsuma export wares - made for this market - were in most cases decorated on blank vessels which were brought near the ports of Nagoya, Kobe and Yokohama. The Nikko brand was one of these export firms. They look very nicely painted by well trained painters of that period. Nikko produced Satsuma eathenware as well as porcelain.

Regards,
Martin.
