Subject:vase i.d.
Posted By: Jack Hamner Sun, Jun 12, 2016 IP: 76.5.67.103 I'm thinking this little vase might be oriental, but I'm not sure. It is about 4" tall, 4 1/4" wide, and has a smooth, satiny finish. Any help identifying ge, origin, rarity, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Posted By: Bob D Mon, Jun 13, 2016 It looks Japanese, and resembles cloisonné work in its design. It is similar to a cloisonne type called totai, but may only look like it. I assume it is paint applied to porcelain, and not baked enamel with a glassy surface. |
