Subject:Sung Dynasty Bowls??
Posted By: Linda B. Fri, Jun 17, 2016 IP: 73.195.147.216

I have 2 plain, grey bowls purchased in 2004 from an antique store in Florida. I was told that they were from the Sung Dynasty and am trying to confirm whether they are authentic or not. They measure about 6" x 1-1/2 to 2" deep. The bowls are not identical. Some iron is showing through the glaze and there is some minor chipping on the bottom of the base/foot. Similar bowls on eBay stated that those were grey celadon from Sung Period. Any idea age, authenticity, value? Would it be worth it to have them officially authenticated? And if so, where in South Jersey area can this be done? Tx
