Subject:Fabulous Jade

Last weekend, we were on vacation which allowed me to check out one of my favorite Asian art stores. Below are some pictures of a few great jade pieces. Enjoy!

Cheers,
Stan

Stan, thanks for sharing these with us. While I cannot say for sure without personally examining these pieces, but based on your pictures and the quality of carvings, I do not believe any of them can be Qing dynasty imperial jades. While they can indeed be made of bai yu (dark green nephrite jade) but the jade material resembles more like those that were imported to China or from Qing Hai, similar to those used for the Chinese Olympic medals. The quality of carvings and those seal scripts to make the seal looks like that of Qing dynasty, to me is a red flag. I believe they were all modern. Of course, I am no jade expert and therefore can be wrong and I apologize in advance. By the way, what are their asking prices? Thanks.
