Subject:Xu Beihong’s Art
Posted By: Tom Mon, Jul 25, 2016 IP: 71.235.147.165 Hello, I have this beautiful framed art piece which I believe may be one of Xu Beihong’s horse paintings. Is there a way in which I can confirm this, or will it take a trained appraiser to confirm whether it is real?? Thank You!! |

If that was done by Xu, no one and i mean no one will be paying the hundreds of thousands and even millions for his work. The facial expression on the horse looks dead and tired. This contradicts his work because as we all know he painted his horses as a sense of national pride during the japanese occupation. your artwork is not meant to be a xu forgery in the sense that it wants to trick people. it is just a horse drawn in the style and inspiration of xu. your paintings is worth a couple of bucks at most and thats being extremely generous. |
