Hello,I just added more images.I finally got time to get a real good look at this in decent lighting.I noticed some things which really caught my eye.
First ,was a grainy sandy decay to the dish when I magnified one of the holes on the outside. The other thing which really stands out are the circular rings noticeable in the dish. That is generally an indicator of days when the process of making porcelain was less refined unless I am mistaken.I also have reason to believe that this dish may have been white at one point. There is an inconsistency to the color near a few of the flowers as well as the 2 rings on the inner top edge of the dish,in spots.Maybe it is blue but one would swear there is a faint hint of white showing as well.
Then there are the flowers themselves which appear a bit primitive in style.
All of this and the fact it isn't marked have me thinking this could very well be my oldest piece I've asked for info on.I'm not even up to the level of a novice collector but I have spent hours researching the various pieces I've came across. Is it far out to start thinking 1900 or earlier at this stage?
