Subject:Possibly Chinese censer - or is it a Japanese koro?
Posted By: Stuart Jeffcoat Sun, Aug 28, 2016 IP: 125.237.146.238

Hi again. Is this item Chinese or Japanese and also any idea as to the possible maker and age? Just trying to find out about some of the pieces that I have collected over the years. Thanks in advance.

It's Japanese, Meiji period.

I found some references in Japanese but always giving an incomplete reading of the signature.
The most complete is: 王良大?呉将瑞造 (pronunciation?)

Could it be 王良大平呉将瑞造.

Guy.

Guy.
