Subject:Netsuke identification

I have seen this Netsuke and liked it so much that I purchased it. Can someone please help me identify the artist and the date?

Is there any indication of when this was made and is the signature on the bottom an actual signature of the artist?

I downloaded and enhanced your images, could not find Schreger lines indicating ivory and the brown color is wrong for ivory patina or Indian ivory. It does however, have indications of molded composition. It does not appear to have himotosi (cord holes) on the back essential to netsuke.
