Subject:Rosewood Sculpture Help with Identity of Man
Posted By: rcorb Sat, Sep 03, 2016 IP: 98.225.151.55 Can anyone tell me if this carved rosewood sculpture represents a famous mythological figure. He is walking with a large staff and there is an overturned jug at his feet. There is something in his left hand that may be a fish but I can not tell. There is also a bundle of something on his back. Is there any symbolism in this? |
