Subject:Help ID Satsuma Maek
Posted By: Thomas Thu, Sep 08, 2016 IP: 66.168.36.46 Hello and thank you ahead of time. I purchased this beveled bowl which is roughly 7 inches in diameter at the rim. It has a wonderful flower design on both the inside and outside in white, gold and green. I have attempted to capture as much of the bowl as possible while keeping the signature readable, as I have trouble uploading multiple pictures on this forum. I recognize the Shimazu crest and unsure who the maker is, perhaps Bizan? Asking for help identifying maker and era it was made. Thank you.
