Subject:Re: Artist and Signature Identification
Posted By: rat Sun, Sep 11, 2016 Fake Chinese painting claiming to be by Yuan artist Wang Meng. Upper right is a label (supposed to be in Zhang Daqian's hand? the calligraphy is really bad) saying it's a Wang Meng picture on silk and gives a title. The label in lower left is a bio of Wang Meng. The inscription on the picture is supposed to be by Wang but is not his writing and not his painting style. Instead the mountain in your picture is imitating a painting by Yuan artist Tang Di in the National Palace Museum (Taiwan): http://sns.91ddcc.com/t/32709 |
