Posted By: Bill H Fri, Sep 16, 2016 Stylistically and by its form, your Chinese porcelain tray with motif possibly of immortals appears to date to the late-Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi Period (1862-74) or somewhat later. Below is a similar tray but in a square form and with Qianjiang-style scene by the artist Fang Tinghui (方廷辉), who was active during the Guangxu Reign (1875-1908). |

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Sep 21, 2016 Sorry, but this dish is not Qianlong period, as alleged in the picture used in the Google image. It is another late 19th century porcelain. The mark simply reads "Made in the Qing Dynasty", which was not an authorized mark during the Qianlong period. Porcelain markings were subject to strict regulation during that reign, I believe. |
