Hello.
This 24,5 x 17,5cm rectangular dish is decorated whith two fine and colorful asian characters with a long finger on each hand.
I’m looking for it’s origin and age and will appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Stylistically and by its form, your Chinese porcelain tray with motif possibly of immortals appears to date to the late-Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi Period (1862-74) or somewhat later. Below is a similar tray but in a square form and with Qianjiang-style scene by the artist Fang Tinghui (方廷辉), who was active during the Guangxu Reign (1875-1908).

Best regards,

Bill H.

Hello uverlord ,

I think we can classify this dish or tray as pattipan product in China between 1850-1880.

Best regards

Alfred

Hello
Thank you for both opinions.
Before you agree for the second half of 19th c, I found that older saucer with a very similar enamels palet and other similarities...

Sorry, but this dish is not Qianlong period, as alleged in the picture used in the Google image. It is another late 19th century porcelain. The mark simply reads "Made in the Qing Dynasty", which was not an authorized mark during the Qianlong period. Porcelain markings were subject to strict regulation during that reign, I believe.

Best regards,

Bill H,

The google-image dish, judging by stubby people and black-outline features, may be from late 20th century.
