Subject:japanese bowl Arita
Posted By: ferrarini giorgio Thu, Sep 29, 2016 IP: 151.55.213.53

hello, excuse my english I'm Italian. and it is the first time that I contact you..
I have two items to be submitted to your judgment.
1: a charger plate of 16 "(40cm in diameter), purchased as oriental, hand painted under glaze
shiny with many dots on the front.
I found a similar pattern in the Seto porcelain, but the blue used is much more tenuous than that of my plate.
that dark blue was used in the 17th 18th century.
and I ask you an opinion on manufacturing and age.
2:
a Japanese bowl in my opinion arita of 9.2 "(23cm) hand painted under glaze glossy, with signs of wear.
I ask you to deecifrare the brand and age.
thank you very much

The mark reads 'Toyota' (豊田) which eventually could refer to the location situated in Aichi province (old Owari province), not far from Seto. That's all I can Add.

Guy.
