Subject:Chenghua 1465-1487

I have a bowl from my grandma, just wanted to know if it's really from the Ming Dynasty Chenghua 1465-1487 era? I took a picture of the bottom of the bowl.

First of all: More photos needed ! But even with them, it can be difficult to determine with certainty. There's a Chinese tradition for marking new, well executed porcelain with old emperors marks. It's not meant as trying to make a forgery. The meaning is: "As good as the porcelain made at the time of that emperor".

I've added another picture. My grandma is 94 years old the bowl belonged to her grandparents.

Maybe I've gone blind, but your second photo doesn't appear on my screen ...
