Subject:Antique scroll painting mounted and framed - Seals identification
Posted By: Alex Fri, Dec 09, 2016 IP: 2a01:0e34:ee18:eb20:

Hello from France,

I own a pretty beautiful chinese painting that could be antique. It was a scroll that has been mounted and framed. The text on the left seems to be an extract from a Tao Yuanming poem : 鳥戢羽寒條游不曠林宿則森
The two seals on the lower right are probably the artist's seal and a collector's seal (the two last characters of this seal are Zhen Cang "Precious object")
Does anyone could help identify those seals ?

Thank you so much ! This is my first time here on Asian Art forum and given that i also have some skills, i will try to contribute !

Regards.

hi Alex,
neither is an artist's seal; their orthography is interesting; I wonder if they are Japanese. picture seems ok, style of Hua Yan, calligraphy a bit ungainly, though am unsure what that means, and no signature date or seal of the artist. good puzzle, will poke around. I am looking forward to your contributions here!
