Can anyone tell me anything about this Chinese plate

The figures in the cavetto painting are in Japanese costume. The mark, which is 90 degrees left of reading position, reads "Made during the Qianlong Reign". The quality of decoration is mediocre, and I'd guess that this may be transfer ware. I'm otherwise at a loss except to speculate that this dish might be made by the same Chinese factories that produce the Japanese style "Royal Satsuma" and "Imperial Satsuma" decorative wares.

Best regards,

Bill H.
