Subject:Japanese Kutani style vase with signs of age and old style Fuku mark on the bottom

Got this at a second-hand store. I thought it was really beautiful ond when I got home and started researching it I could only find replicas and reproductions of a similar vase but they all had notations on the mark that identified them as such. This one has what looks like an original style mark as well as cracking and iridescence in the painted (enameled?) decorations that makes the think it may be older

Your vase with iconic--for Buddhists--lotus marsh motif looks to be no older than second half of the 20th century in my opinion. I couldn't check this view by finding another reliably dated vase with the same pattern and stamped-on mark. However, at the link below you'll see an eBay listing for a Kutani dish in a different palette with identical mark, which piece the seller describes as "antique" but then denies knowing how old it really is. The eBay item lacks spur marks and shares a wide flat foot rim with your vase, which characteristics suggest both probably were made at the same kiln and time.

Best regards,

Bill H.
