Posted By: Bill H Mon, Mar 06, 2017 The painting on your contemporary vase looks Japanese-style, and the mark inside a circle is the "fungus of longevity", known as "reishi" (霊芝) in Japan and "lingzhi" (靈芝) in China. Rei and ling are represented by variants of the same character.
