Would appreciate any information on the attached. Watercolor on paper that's attached to a wooden frame. Frame is slotted on three sides perhaps to serve as a lid of some sort. Measures 10 1/4" x 14 3/8".

If the wood is relatively light, I suggest it is Japanese kiri.

The signature also suggests Japanese Kunisei Oryu or Oritsu.

Japanese names can be very hard to read.

Hi
This is painted in a style similar to the horses you find on Ema .....which are offerings that are left at Japanese Shinto temples. Kiri wood has more feathering between the grain, I think this is probably cryptomeria (sugi) wood.
Regards
Sue

The name reads:
國井應立 Kunii Oryu
I can`t find anything on the web relevant to this name.

With regards,
I.Nagy
