Posted By: Jacob Wed, Feb 21, 2018 IP: 86.127.87.119

Hello,

I would be very happy if someone could help me understand what it says the text from this Chinese woodblock print. I think its a poem. Does it have also an artist signature ?

Thank you very much !

Jacob

Reading of the inscription in my rough translation,
老饞親口教琵琶 - Old Chan teached me pipa himself,
朱雪個題葡萄句 - Zhu Xue had a line (of verse) on
余不得解 grape - what I could not understand
二十年猶未忘 - For twenty years (these things) remain not forgotten
齊白石 - Qi Baishi (Signature)
老平 - Laoping (Art-name)

Qi baishi (1864-1957), famous Chinese painter

With regards,
I.Nagy
