Posted By: Stan Tue, May 15, 2018 The print is signed Kunisada. The artist is Kunisada II (aka Kunimasa III and Toyokuni IV) (1823 – 20 July 1880). He used the Kunisada name from circa 1850 through Kunisada I/Toyokuni III's death in 1865) The print was printed in the 4th lunar month of a Monkey year (1848, 1860, 1872). Given when he used the Kunisada name, that would make it printed in 1860. |
