Hello, Can someone please give me a date on this 11 1/2" x 10 1/4" embroidered silk panel. NOTE: This is an embroidered/ sewn panel NOT printed on silk! Any assistance with this query would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! David.

Woven, not embroidered. Based on a Hiroshige woodcut from the 57 stages of the Tokaido.

20th century.

I did a copy of this as a mural in my bedroom when I was a teenager.

Looks like a fairly modern stevengraph embroidery of a Hiroshige view of Fuji woodblock print

Your piece is based on a famous Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshige I. It is Station #17 Yui: Satta Peak (Yui, Satta mine) in his series "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido Road" (Tōkaidō gojūsan tsugi no uchi) originally printed in 1833/34.

See the link to the series below.

Likely, your piece was machine made. Others here are more expert on when and how this was/is done. I suspect your piece was made mid 20th century.

Cheers,
Stan
