Subject:help identifying vase and whice the era or year it was made and the marking on bottom
Posted By: WILLIAM Sun, Jun 03, 2018 IP: 2600:1700:c0a0:61f0: I received this vase at a estate sell last week! it was a beautiful piece and it look original and had an original marking on the bottom! the small vase also has metal bronze at the bottom middle and top lip of the vase with decorations of some kind of figures, animal or what, but it is incorporated in and around the vase! it looks old and I have a gut feeling it is original and old! I need help identifying this piece and the marking on the bottom |

Posted By: Bill H Sun, Jun 03, 2018 Your vase is Chinese, circa 1900 or somewhat later, with a martial motif likely based on the classic "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". The apocryphal base-mark says "made during the Chenghua reign", which was in the Ming Dynasty. |
