Subject:VINTAGE JAPANESE KUTANI MORIAGE GEISHA GIRL VASE
Posted By: Sue Ruscoe Fri, Aug 09, 2019 IP: 216.158.248.246

I have two mini vases and the tall one has a very different mark on the bottom. Does anyone know this mark and how old these might be? The tall one is 4" and the small round one is 7"around & 1 3/4" tall with no markings. Thanks for your help.
Sue

This is not Kutani, but Satsuma ware.
I have no clue what the signature means, but it is in the style of other small Kinkozan mini vases, see pictures: one of my Kinkozan mini vases.
Date around 1920. Made for the western markets.
Regards,
Martin.
