Hi I Nagy,

Could you please shed some more lights on the second painting, if it's that old, what would be the value if any?
As you stated I have googled the artist but to no avail.
Do you think or you recommend me to have it checked some more?

Kind regards

Fouad

Dear Fouad,
The oldest original surviving Chinese pictures date from the Song Dynasty - as old as your one
Do you have anything about the provenance of your picture. Without any authentic written record(s) this is just a picture of doubtful provenance - in plain language "fake".
The seal on the 2nd (old) picture reads,
米印 - Seal of Mi (I can't find reference
seal print)
On the other picture the signature and seal reads: 李亨 Li Heng

With regards,
I.Nagy

Hi I Nagy,

Sorry for the delay to respond to you, unfortunately I haven't any written record or any provenance, for the painting.
All I can say that this painting has come out from a sale of a government House and most articles where auctioned.
That's all I have.
Just to let you know, I held some old Chinese paintings before, but the silk that the painting is on is so thin I never seen one like it. And it seems quite old, but I don't think I can't vouch for it been 1000 years old.

I always appreciate your comments, knowledge and time. You and some other experts make this an amazing website.

Kind regards

Fouad
