Subject:Help with Bowl and 2 Cups. (Pics enclosed)
Posted By: Wed, Apr 18, 2012 IP: 66.68.61.104

Hello. I recently received the enclosed pieces of Chinese porcelain from a family inheritance and was interested in finding out more about their origins and value.

If anyone could identify or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!

I have a few notes about the pieces that I have enclosed below.

Thanks,
Scott

You posted cups few weeks ago, see responses at link.

You posted dish few weeks ago:

http://asianart.com/phpforum/index.php?method=detailAll&Id=60225

You did not answer these questions then:

Is translucent? What color look like when strong light shined through?

Is rim painted brown?

Still not look like Song Dynasty.

Good luck,
Cal

Photos not high enough resolution give much detail why not look Song. Shape, rudimentary molded floral, foot size, character of glaze and paste. Photo slight angle tell more about foot.

Answer questions can possibly tell more what it supposed to imitate.

Not answer questions you are on your own.

Good luck,
Cal
