top-right big kanji is "昇". maybe.
昇 mean is rise.

bottom-right kanji is "筆山". maybe.
筆 mean is brush pen.
山 mean is mountain.

I think this is japanese art.
But this is too old,so I can't transrate.

in case it's any help or of interest to others, i received this information on a ukiyo-e site

Looks to be a part of a 'haikai surimono' (or 'Shijō surimono') with a later overwriting of the printed verses and names of the poets with thick sumi ink.
Part of the signature and the seal at the right seems to read 'Sōzan' (筝山) but I'm not sure if this refers to the painter and print artist Maki Sōzan or some other Shijō artist with the same name.

The top two characters in the stack at the far right lower corner seem to comprise a cyclical date that fell in 1857 and also occurred at sixty-year intervals before and after. The last two characters in that same stack appear to say 'sketched by', with reference the artist whose signature is in the next stack. I can read only this much and then only as Chinese, not Japanese.

Good luck,

Bill H.
